Chief mechanic at AMG Driving Academy told me that the rear diff housing should NEVER be used to lift the car. The front cross member is, obviously, fine if you only need to jack the front of the car.

If you need all 4 wheels up, the procedure (from AMG Mechanic) is:

Jack car from front side jack point. It will lift the entire side of the car. Place jack stand under rear jack point. Lower front of car. Repeat on other side of car. Lift car from front cross member. Place jack stands under both front jack points.

I have done this several times with no problems, but as always, be very careful when jacking your car or working under your car. ALWAYS use proper jack stands if you are getting under your car.

This is a great part.With the ultra low long reach Harbor Freight 2.5 ton jack (2 7/8" minimum height) will fit uner your lowered C63 just fine. I used it on my Porsche with special jack pad and that car has been dropped lower them most C63. The little aluminum racing jack get that low but they're are bit small to get any other point than lift at the jack points.

As for jacking the rear I jack under the differential. I am not saying it is a good or bad practice but it is what I have done to date and will continue to do until I discover it is a problem from personal experience.
